I’m Andrea Meyers, an educator and technology specialist. My education experience is diverse: eight years teaching in U.S. schools abroad (Micronesia, South America, Middle East), instructional design for K-12 e-learning, and IT training in the private sector. I hold a Bachelor of Music, an MA in Elementary Education, a certificate in Information Technology, and an MEd in Instructional Technology. I am also trained in the Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory reading instructional method. My education interests include curriculum development, Universal Design for Learning, open educational resources, 21st century skills, digital literacy and citizenship, coding, gifted and special education. I am a Google Certified Educator (Levels 1 and 2).
My goal is to help schools, teachers, and parents connect learning with the technology in our world. Our focus should not be on cool tech, but rather on using technology as a tool for learning.
